Surrogacy is one of the more difficult reproductive technologies to understand. Finding good, credible resources about surrogacy may help. A new guide called “Surrogate Pregnancy: An Essential Guide for Clinicians” is one such resource. It is useful in understanding surrogacy.
What’s in the guide?
The guide covers:
- The different types of surrogacy,
- The care that the surrogate may receive during pregnancy and labor.
Although the guide was written primarily for clinicians it is presented in a way that isn’t too difficult to understand. It was published in the journal called “The Obstetrician & Gynaecologist” and has a UK focus.
The content is weighted more toward the care that the surrogate and child may receive. In this respect it may be mostly useful for the surrogate.
However, it may also be useful for intending parents who want the best for their surrogate and their child.
The guide is available for download.
